Description
Spun from the soft, airy fleece of our Angora goats at Calamity Jane’s Farm, this fingering weight mohair yarn carries the lightness and halo that only true small-batch fiber can offer.
Each 100g hank is carefully prepared in limited quantities and milled in collaboration with The Sheepwalk Fiber Mill in Bandera, Texas, preserving the natural character of the fiber while giving it strength and consistency for fine, delicate projects.
This yarn is ideal for lace knitting, lightweight garments, shawls, and heirloom pieces meant to be worn close to the skin.
Its ethereal halo blooms beautifully after blocking, creating a soft, glowing fabric that feels both rustic and refined.
Natural coloring; very limited
TEXAS BORN YARN
This mohair yarn was grown by our sweet Angora goat, Wally, who came to us from the Plumley family in Rocksprings, Texas. The fiber was carefully processed in small batches at The Sheepwalk Fiber Mill in Bandera, Texas.
